Hilo Race (Marathon / Half / 5K)

March 15, 2015 Hilo Race (Marathon / Half / 5K), Hilo, Hawaii -

This famous race was on a world-class course along the Big Island coastline and runners "enjoyed" beautiful waterfalls, the jungle forest and waves crashing on the shore. Organized by CSM Chris Heinz from Westport One (MR St. Louis-Westport), sixteen runners from MRINetwork volunteered to participate in the race and raise funds on behalf of the Foundation. Each participant received a race shirt with the Foundation logo and a race medal. But more importantly, they have a memory of a lifetime as they raised money, trained and competed together.

As we all know, training for a race of this type is not easy. Months of training and fundraising paid off as this highly competitive group raised over $8,500 and conquered the hills and terrain in Hawaii. Thank you to the Pacesetters, spouses, children, owners and corporate staff who dedicated their time and energy and to those who supported them.
